C.1904, Ansonia Clock Co., Royal Bonn, "LaCharite", 8-day time/strike porcelain mantel clock in generally good condition, and running. It is A beautiful case in pale yellow with front landscape scene and trees painted on both sides. There is crazing to the porcelain case, but no cracks or repairs that I could find. The case is signed on reverse, clock works are signed on movement and face. The porcelain face is in wonderful condition. The clock has been running without issue, however, the face is a bit loose, so when winding if the 12 get's out of positoin it is unbalanced and stops running. This should be repaired at some point. Its worth noting. I have only seen on other with this particular case painting so I think it's a bit hard to come by. I love these clocks and have wanted one for some time. I picked this up at an estate sale. It was filthy on the exterior and I was happy to wipe it down and find the lovely case. It's 100 years old.. it has been cleaned at some point, and possibly serviced but I don't know when. Please feel free to ask questions. If you are not familiar with these clocks then its good to get a local clock person to walk you through set up etc. Clocks are sold as is , since shipping can cause movement issues. But there should be none with this sturdy ansonia movement. If you need other pictures please let us know comes with pendulum and key. Measures 11 inches high at highest point. It is marked on back and signed on base near the soundboard. Does gong on hour . Sound board appears to be origina as well. Item ID: 1160

This is a lovely Dresden Handarbeit Clock case with fancy curly cue style tip measures 8 inches high. The clock a spring wound mechanical movement is a mercedes movement. The clock will run for a while after winding then quits. The key to set time and alarm are missing , but wind key is there. I don't know how difficult it will be to get the set keys for it, I tried some off old alarm clocks and small clocks we had and did not have one to fit it. I suspect a clock maker could order them. It is mechanically sound no broken springs etc. May need light lubrication and would run no issues. The clock case is wonderful, no chips cracks or repairs, some light wear to bottom of feet from shelf sitting. Marked with Dresden Crown and D on reverse and Handarbeti which I believe means handmade. If you have a 3 inch clock to fit in it i would be possible to swap out but it displays beauitfully and as I said might be easier to remedy than I think.
