This page will evolve. because our business is always changing. I worked in a manufacturing plant in Quality for 13 years, after which I took an early out package during the economic downturn in 2001/2002 . I wanted to try out my wings and start my own business. I dabbled in pet photography and still enjoy photography as a hobby but mostly I returned to my love of the bargain hunt.

I now work almost exculisvely selling collectibles and antiques. I am for the most part a one person show, my Husband travels to some autcions and sales with me but I do all the listing, research, photographing and packing and shipping. I have a large attachment to my house that is my office, and a 20X10 Storage facility we built just for inventory. We dont' sell much in the line of furniture because it's too difficult to ship but we occasionally get small pieces.

We collect Antique Clocks, Pocket Knives, Pocket Watches and Fiesta. I like all things mid century as well but my husband loves classic anitques so our house is an ever changing palette for what we have found. The great part about doing this for a living ... aside from working at home in your pajamas with your dogs -- is that you can change your home as much as you want. Tired of the painting, sell it and buy something else.

I put in about 60 hours a week when at home and when travelling to sales I have gone as far as New York State, 800 miles, and will frequently travel 200-400 for a sale with items of interest. It means long days of travel, late nights of loading the car, and even longer days upon my return sifting through items. We never know what we are going to find. I have purchased entire train collections, sports memorabilia, once the contents of small sporting goods store, other times we have new items, I like vintage jewelery ( it's easy to ship!) I don't like listing clothing. We buy what we can find and what we have some knowledge about. So it's always something new.
